I’m often asked how I pack my jewelry, especially when I travel. Over the years, I’ve figured out a simple system that keeps everything protected and organized.

I’ve learned the hard way that if you don’t pack jewelry carefully, it can easily get tangled or scratched, and there’s nothing worse than arriving somewhere and spending the first ten minutes trying to untangle a necklace. 

I always start by putting each piece in a small plastic bag. I double bag them, especially for earrings or delicate stones, so they stay separated and protected. Then I take those bags and place them inside one of my Meredith Marks velvet pouches.

Right now, most of my travel is for my DJ tour, and my looks for those shows are usually full of sparkle and color. When I’m choosing jewelry to pack, I like to either match the energy or balance it out. If a look is covered in rhinestones or bold color, I’ll go with clean white diamond pieces to keep it sleek. If the outfit is simpler or more neutral, I’ll bring colorful statement stones to add that extra pop.
