My Favorite Luxury Hotels

My Favorite Luxury Hotels

I spend so much time traveling for work, events, my DJ tour, and of course a little downtime when I can squeeze it in, so I’ve definitely developed a love for great hotels. I have been in hotels probably half my life lately, and when you travel that much, you start to really notice the difference between a good hotel and a truly special one.

For me, what makes a hotel memorable is the feeling it gives you. The energy, the atmosphere, even the scent when you walk in, certain places just have a vibe. I love when a hotel feels connected to its environment, like it couldn’t exist anywhere else in the world.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Bulgari Resort & Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve — Bali

Bali is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and I’ve stayed at both the Bulgari in Uluwatu and Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud. They’re completely different experiences, but both unforgettable.

The Bulgari is perched above the ocean, all about that stunning beachfront view, impeccable service, and the most beautiful villas. Everything is seamless and elegant but still relaxed.

Then there’s Mandapa, which is tucked into the rice fields of Ubud. It feels like you’re living inside nature, surrounded by the jungle, the sound of water flowing nearby, and monkeys everywhere. It’s immersive and calming, like being in another world.

Hotel Esencia — Mexico

Another favorite is Hotel Esencia in Mexico. It’s small, private, and incredibly chic. There’s this beautiful wildlife around you. There are peacocks walking through the gardens and manatees you can spot offshore. I think what makes Esencia so special is that it feels alive; it has personality. For me, the natural surroundings add so much to the experience.

Montage Healdsburg — Sonoma, California

In the U.S., I adore the Montage in Healdsburg. It’s right in the middle of Sonoma wine country, and it feels like you’re living inside a vineyard. The design is modern but still warm and inviting, it’s the perfect balance of luxury and nature. Every detail feels intentional, and you can really unwind there.

The Bodrum Edition — Turkey

The Edition in Bodrum is another one that really stands out. The whole property has this airy, flowy vibe that I love. It's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. Everything feels effortless and elevated. And yes, they all smell amazing.

The Faena — Miami Beach

I also love the Faena in Miami. It’s bold, glamorous, and has this undeniable energy to it. I can’t even explain it, some hotels just pull you in, and Faena is one of those. The art, the colors, the energy, it’s pure Miami in the best way.

Mandarin Oriental — Hong Kong

And finally, the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. It’s classic. It has that old-world charm that’s hard to find anymore. It is traditional, elegant, and deeply rooted in its culture. It feels authentic, like a true reflection of the city around it.

No matter where I go, I’m drawn to hotels that reflect their surroundings and places that make you feel where you are. Whether it’s the jungle in Bali, a vineyard in Sonoma, or the buzz of Hong Kong, I love staying in places that are part of the story, not just the backdrop.
